ABOUT PRIVATES:  Initial Private Consulation will include goal setting; brief medical history; areas of strength & areas of need.  If you are currently training in another type of body movement, sport, or activity, your sessions can be planned in order to compliment or counterbalance (depending on your personal needs) what you are already doing.  You will be introduced to various pieces of equipment developed to either support or challenge your body while in movement.

Pilates was developed as a form of rehabilitation by Josef Pilates.  It was quickly recognized by dancers & other athletes as a wonderful form of "exercise" or movement that allowed for strengthening without bulking up the body.  Additionally, Pilates is recognized as a way of "re-patterning" our body from habitual daily posture & movements.

During your session, you will have the opportunity to work on the following:

  • PILATES REFORMER
  • WALL/POLE SYSTEM
  • HIGH BARREL
  • LOW CHAIR
  • 1/2 BARREL
  • FITBALL & RESISTANCE BANDS
  • MAT-WORK SERIES
  • & MOST IMPORTANTLY, BREATHWORK

Tuition for Private Sessions

Initial Private Consultation: $50.00

10 Session Card: $550 (55/session)

5 Session Card: $300(60/session)

Individual Session: $65 for one hour or $85 for 90 minutes

We will cover the essential fundamentals of Pilates, its purpose & focus, how Pilates is incorporated not only into your yoga or finess routine- but most importantly - how Pilates is incorporated into our everyday lives.

Pilates with Maryanne is taught according to the traditional - classical teachings of The Pilates Method.  The following will be incorporated into the session:

  • PILATES FUNDAMENTALS
  • PILATES MAT: LEVELS I-III
  • PILATES ON THE BALL
  • PILATES WITH RESISTANCE BANDS
