Restorative Yoga: This is our most gentle yoga. Whether you are new to the practice of yoga, are healing from an injury or just require a quiet practice; this is the class for you. Restorative/Hatha I works on breathing techniques to quiet the mind and prepare the body for practice. You will also work through the yoga postures with modifications that are necessary to make your practice comfortable for your needs and yet still allowing you to reap the benefits of yoga.

Vinyasa: Vinyasa means flow and that’s what you will do in this class. It’s like a beautiful dance of the body, mind & spirit. Vinyasa is a form of body artistry; its class sequence is unique. Vinyasa takes traditional yoga postures & blends them together ...in order to allow the body to flow fluidly.  This class is not traditionally meant for beginning practioners due to the quick pace and flow of the class; however you may speak to a Sacred Springs teacher for an appropriate recommendation.

Ashtanga: Ashtanga is an ancient powerful blend of asanas in a particular sequence which creates a meditative quality in your practice. Ashtanga is a flow form of yoga and is quite vigorous and beautiful. Classes are instructional and modifications are provided based on individual need.

Fusion Flow::  This is a blended class of both yoga & Pilates which beautifully ties in the spirituality of body, mind & spirit through the inspiration of breath and movement while bringing attention to our center of balance – our core.  Fusion flow is based on Vinyasa style yoga with its roots in Hatha for alignment and modifications.  Appropriate for all levels of learning.

Pilates: Based on Joseph Pilates – Pilates Method, our classes work on all levels of breathing, technique, precision & fundamentals of Pilates training. Focusing on the core, or powerhouse of the body, this class will help you fine tune your center of balance while strengthening and lengthening muscles. Check for the appropriate class level in keeping with honoring your body.

Yin Yoga:  Yin Yoga is a Taoist perspective of our practice.  Meaning there are always opposing yet complimentary forces in life & yoga.  Most of our yoga practices - as well as our lives - are Yang - warm, heated, moving, fast paced.  Yin yoga is slow, cooling, meditative and calming.  In a Yin style of practice, the postures are held for longer periods of time to better focus on the fascia & joints of the body as opposed to the Yang style which is focused on the muscles of the body.  If you haven't tried Yin yet... you should.  It's a beautiful practice that not only quiets the mind but also helps to open the hips, pelvis & lower spine.  My personal love of Yin is due to its intrinsic nature in honoring the body -allowing us to be mindful.  Rather than replacing your beloved Yang Yoga, allow Yin Yoga to embellish it.
